Therapy for Young Adults

For individuals in their late teens through early thirties who are navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and periods of transition, this work offers a supportive space to slow down, reflect, and understand yourself.

Therapy often focuses on helping you make sense of your internal experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and move through challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and compassion.

What is Young Adult Therapy?

Young adult therapy is individual psychotherapy focused on supporting you as you navigate the transition from adolescence into adulthood. Many young adults I work with are managing significant responsibilities at work, in school, in relationships, or within their families while feeling uncertain, stuck, burned out, or disconnected from themselves. You may appear high-functioning on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of your next steps.

In therapy, we focus on understanding your emotional patterns, building practical coping skills, and developing more effective ways of responding to stress and difficult emotions. This work is collaborative, paced, and grounded in evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT-informed strategies.

Sessions are offered in person in Manhattan or virtually for individuals located in New York, Connecticut, and Florida

Is Therapy the Right Fit?

May Be a Good Fit If You:

  • Are late teens to early thirties

  • Struggle with anxiety, stress, or emotional overwhelm

  • Feel stuck, uncertain, or at a crossroads

  • Want to improve emotion regulation and coping skills

  • Are navigating relationship challenges or boundary difficulties

  • Want space to understand yourself better

  • Prefer thoughtful, longer-term individual therapy

May Not Be the Best Fit If You:

  • Need immediate crisis intervention or a higher level of care

  • Are looking for therapy focused primarily on another family member

If you’re a young adult seeking support while navigating stress, uncertainty, or change, I’d be glad to talk with you about whether therapy may be a good fit.
